Question by : Need HELP! Removing something called “Exploit searchterror.com” from my computer. I recently have had…?
..problems with internet searches. When I click on a link from a search it gets redirected to another search engine or a marketing site, but never goes to the site it is supposed to. I ran a program called Bazooka Scanner and it found the problem. But it does not remove the problem. I’ve run Malwarebytes, IObit Security 360, Advanced System Care with no success. Anyone familiar with this infection and know how to remove it? Any advice will be appreciated!

run malwarebytes in safe mode and also use avast.com as your anti-virus program – remove Noton or any other anti-virus program before – malware bytes is NOT an anti-virus program -

Your issue is a “rootkit” problem, related to Windows XP mainly, but common to 32bit operating systems. Also generally called “Google Redirect” infection. Two things you can try

How to remove the TDSS, TDL3, or Alureon rootkit using TDSSKiller
