If you are asking anyone for doing SEO for your company in professional way, it depends how much experience he has in SEO field, if he is working part time he must be paid $ 15k – $ 35k; but for full-time worker $ 35000-$ 45000 even $ 85000 for a year

Prices on SEO services vary a lot. I’ve seen people pay big money and get no results at all. The best thing to do is shop around and evaluate the services carfully.

Ask for references that you can actually contact and find out if people were satisfied with the results they got. Doing this might seem like a hassle but it could save you a lot in the long run. Good Luck!

Personally I would learn to do it yourself. You could learn alot with a few late fees at the library. Knowledge is power and will serve you well. Personally I would use a retainer just like you would a lawyer. That way you can ask all the questions you want and not have to worry about an hourly rate. Works well for my business as I like to educate my clients in everything we do.. If we en power them with the knowledge they are more likely to stay with us. We are not the cheapest but we get the results. It boils down to what you pay for.

My company’s rates for SEO start at 30$ /hour: http://www.webtexsolutions.com/
We can also provide outsourcing services so you will be able to receive a more affordable SEO package.

it depends on what you’re looking for. The cost can vary from $ 200 to $ 10000 or more monthly. It depends on the scope of your project. I will suggest that you discuss all expectations before you hire anyone.

Also, make sure whoever is doing is familiar with your industry and your market area.

I would highly recommend that you hire a company who knows what they are doing. Learning to do SEO (properly and effectively) takes years to master. As others have stated…prices vary greatly depending on what all you need/want done. With almost any company there is usually a hire fee the first month (for set up, meta tags, sitemaps, google analytics, etc) and then that price will go down for the 2nd month and beyond depending on how much maintanence you would like. A good company will charge a fair price between $ 1500 and $ 3000 for month one. and $ 300 to $ 2000 to maintain. (As your site becomes more and more self sufficient and your organic rankings are raised, that price can/will drop even more.
